An impact socket for air impact wrenches with a 1" drive, designed for industrial use. Made from alloy steel with a black protective finish, it offers durability under variable dynamic loads.
The 1" (25.4 mm) square drive is machined to accuracy standards. It is suitable for pneumatic and electric impact wrenches and for ratchets with a matching drive. An internal retaining ball stops the socket coming loose during use.
Reinforced construction designed for use with impact tools. Thicker walls and a special steel composition absorb impacts, preventing cracking and deformation. Impact sockets are around 30% thicker than standard sockets.
A matt black surface produced by phosphating or oxidising. It increases resistance to corrosion and abrasion and makes the socket easy to identify as an impact socket. The finish reduces the risk of damage to painted components.
A 32 mm spanner size – typical of M20 bolts and wheel nuts on heavy goods vehicles. The internal socket dimension is held to a tolerance that ensures a secure, play-free fit, minimising the risk of wearing the bolt head.

The socket is suitable for 1" drive pneumatic impact wrenches, electric impact wrenches and professional ratchets. It must not be used with hand tools without an impact mechanism – this can damage the drive or crack the socket under high static load.
Before first use, check the condition of the drive and make sure the retaining ball moves freely. Push the socket onto the tool's square drive until it clicks into place.
After each use, remove dirt with compressed air or a brush. When working in damp or corrosive environments, protect the surface with a thin film of machine oil. Do not store sockets in direct contact with chemicals that dissolve the protective finish.
Check the internal edges of the socket regularly – rounded or worn edges can damage bolt heads. Sockets with visible cracks or deformation must be taken out of service.
