KD12509 Ball Joint, Track Rod End and Bearing Puller Set
KD12509 is a five-piece puller set made from chrome vanadium (CrV) steel, designed for removing ball joints, track rod ends and bearings. The assorted tool sizes in the set cover suspension and steering components across a wide range of dimensions — with no need for hammering, which reduces the risk of damaging adjacent parts.
Set features
Chrome vanadium (CrV) steel
CrV alloys offer higher hardness and greater resistance to plastic deformation than carbon steel. This helps the tool hold its geometry when working under heavy load — particularly important when removing seized ball joints and bearings.
Five tools in assorted sizes
The set includes bearing splitters and two-jaw pullers in several sizes, plus a dedicated fork-type splitter for ball joints and track rod ends. This means a single tool does not have to cover widely different ranges — each puller is matched to a specific size band.
Bearing splitter for bearing removal
The bearing splitter (up to 80 mm diameter, 80 mm internal height) removes bearings by gripping the outer ring, which eliminates the need to strike the inner ring and minimises the risk of damaging the bearing housing.
Fork-type ball joint splitter
The 19 mm fork tool removes ball joints and track rod ends by forcing a wedge between the ball pin and its socket. This method is effective even where corrosion has taken a firm hold on the joint.

Choosing the right puller from the set
Before starting work, measure the outside diameter of the bearing or the diameter of the ball pin. Select the two-jaw puller so that its jaws sit firmly against the bearing outer ring or the component flange — a puller that is too large or too small may slip during use and damage the component. On ball joints fitted with a rubber seal, protect the boot from direct contact with the tool.
