A tool for scoring plasterboard on both sides at the same time, fitted with two 38 mm circular cutting blades. The cutter handles boards up to 150 mm wide and 15 mm thick, cutting the time needed to install partition walls and suspended ceilings.
The double-sided cutting mechanism scores the plasterboard from both the top and the bottom at the same time. This produces an even score through both paper liners, which makes the board easier to snap along the score line and removes the need to score the same line repeatedly.
The cutting depth adjustment system lets you match blade penetration to the board thickness. This matters when working with boards of different thicknesses – too shallow a score makes snapping difficult, while too deep a score can damage the lower paper liner. The adjustment allows the optimum blade depth to be set for boards from 9.5 mm to 15 mm.
Two 38 mm circular blades score the board by rolling across its surface. The circular design distributes the pressure evenly, which helps keep the cut straight. The 38 mm diameter allows the blade to be sharpened repeatedly, or the cutting edge to be replaced, before the whole blade has to be renewed.
Two guide handles keep the cutter steady along the score line. Their layout spreads the pressure evenly across both blades, which matters for accuracy over the full length of the score. The handle design minimises hand fatigue during prolonged use.

The cutter is designed for plasterboard from 9.5 mm to 15 mm thick and cutting widths up to 150 mm. Before use, check that the board thickness falls within the cutting depth adjustment range. The tool is not suitable for cutting cement-fibre boards, OSB or other materials with a structure other than gypsum with a paper liner.
Before cutting, set the scoring depth by adjusting the mechanism to suit the board thickness. Guide the cutter along a straight edge or guide rail, applying even pressure to both handles. Once scored, the board is snapped along the score line and the lower paper liner cut through with a knife.
The circular blades need periodic cleaning to remove plaster dust, which can build up in the rotating mechanism. Worn or blunt blades should be replaced when scoring requires excessive pressure or produces uneven edges. The depth adjustment mechanism should be checked before every use – play in this assembly affects cutting accuracy.
The 38 mm circular blades can be sharpened with a fine-grit whetstone or replaced once completely blunt. Regularly dismantling and cleaning the blade rotating mechanism prevents seizing caused by a build-up of plaster dust. Lubricating the blade axle with a thin layer of machine grease extends bearing life.
