This 150 mm adjustable spanner is made from 40CrV chrome vanadium steel. The tool is designed for tightening and loosening nuts and bolts of various sizes, and features an ergonomic handle with a rubber cover for a secure grip during use.
This steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium offers increased hardness and wear resistance. The 40CrV material resists deformation when high torque is transmitted and extends tool life under intensive use.
The phosphating process forms a protective layer on the steel surface that guards against corrosion and oxidation. The black finish further increases resistance to weather conditions and contact with moisture when working in a workshop environment.
The rubber coating on the handle stops the tool slipping in the hand, particularly when working in oil or other substances. The flexible cover reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use and insulates against the cold metal surface.
The head is angled at 15° relative to the handle axis, making it possible to work in areas with limited access. This design allows the spanner to be manoeuvred in tight spaces where standard straight tools do not offer a sufficient range of movement.

A length of 150 mm makes this a compact tool suitable for working with nuts up to around 19–22 mm in diameter, depending on the jaw design. A shorter spanner gives better control in tight spaces but generates less torque than 200 mm or 250 mm models. For heavier work requiring greater leverage, a longer spanner is recommended.
Before use, check the jaw opening range and match it to the size of the nut or bolt. The adjustment screw should be tightened firmly enough that the jaws do not shift during use, but not so firmly that the mechanism is locked. The head of the spanner should be fitted fully onto the nut to prevent it slipping off and damaging the edges.
Once the work is finished, clean the spanner of dirt, oil and dust. The adjustment mechanism requires periodic lubrication with engineering grease, particularly after contact with water. Storing the tool in a dry place prevents corrosion of the metal components. The spanner must not be used as a lever or a hammer – exceeding the permissible loads may permanently deform the jaws or damage the adjustment mechanism.
