An impact socket for pneumatic or electric impact wrenches, designed for intensive work with 23 mm nuts and bolts. Part of the YATO professional tool range, engineered for automotive workshop, industrial and assembly work.
A reinforced build with thicker walls than standard sockets. This construction absorbs the vibration and impacts generated by impact wrenches, protecting both the tool and the fastener from damage when working at high torque.
The CrMo alloy offers increased resistance to dynamic loads and material fatigue. The addition of chromium provides corrosion resistance, while molybdenum increases hardness and bending strength, which matters when working on seized fasteners.
The 1/2" (12.5 mm) square drive is the standard on professional pneumatic and electric impact wrenches in the medium-torque range. This format strikes a balance between tool compactness and transmitted force, typically up to 1000 Nm.
The 23 mm socket is used for the wheel nuts of heavy goods vehicles, agricultural machinery and steel structures. This size corresponds to M14 and M16 bolts in joints requiring high tightening torque.

The socket is compatible with all impact wrenches fitted with a 1/2" drive. Before use, check the maximum torque of the wrench and make sure it falls within the socket's strength range. Do not use with torque wrenches that have no impact function.
Before starting work, check the socket's condition, looking for cracks, deformation or excessive wear of the internal hexagon. A damaged socket may slip off the nut or crack under load.
During use, the socket should be seated on the nut or bolt head to its full depth. Incomplete seating increases the risk of damaging the fastener's corners and the socket's internal walls. On heavily corroded or painted-over fasteners, it is worth applying a penetrating fluid beforehand.
After use, clean the socket of dirt and protect it against corrosion. Checking its condition regularly extends the tool's service life and improves safety at work. Store in a dry place, ideally in a set or a socket organiser.
