Professional impact bit socket with a HEX tip, designed for intensive work with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. Made from CR-MO chrome-molybdenum steel, which withstands the high torque and impacts typical of impact tools.
The internal hexagonal profile in size H5 (5 mm) provides a precise fit on hex socket screws and bolts. It minimises play and the risk of slipping during work under load, which protects the heads of the fasteners from damage.
The 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) drive is a universal standard in professional impact tools. It is compatible with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches as well as hand ratchets with this square drive size. It is fitted with a retaining pin hole.
Chrome-molybdenum steel offers increased resistance to dynamic loads and impacts compared with chrome-vanadium (CR-V) steel. The addition of molybdenum improves the flexibility of the material, allowing it to absorb impact energy without cracking or permanent deformation.

The choice of material has a direct impact on the durability of the socket during impact use. The table below shows the differences between chrome-molybdenum and chrome-vanadium steel.

If you use an impact wrench (pneumatic or electric), CR-MO steel is essential. Standard CR-V sockets intended for hand use may crack or deform under impact, which risks damaging the fasteners and poses a danger to the operator.
Before starting work, check that the socket is correctly seated on the drive of the impact wrench. Use the retaining pin if your wrench is fitted with one – this prevents the socket from falling off during use.
During use, make sure the socket is fully engaged on the screw head. Partial engagement can damage the HEX profile in both the socket and the screw.
After finishing work, clean the socket of dirt, oil and rust. Store it in a dry place. The anti-corrosion coating protects against oxidation, but regular cleaning extends the life of the tool.
Make sure the screws or bolts you are working with have an H5 (5 mm) HEX recess. Using the wrong socket size can damage the profile of the fastener and make it harder to remove later. If in doubt, measure the recess diameter with a vernier caliper or check the marking on the fastener.
