1/2" HEX H7 CR-MO Impact Socket – model T00217-07
Professional Tvardy impact socket in chrome molybdenum steel, built for intensive work with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. Designed for screws with an internal hex socket (HEX) in workshop and industrial applications.
Technical features
Chrome molybdenum steel (CR-MO)
A material whose structure delivers flexibility while retaining hardness. It absorbs impact energy without cracking, unlike the CR-V steel used in hand tools. It withstands repeated impact loads at high torque.
1/2" square drive
The standard fitting used on most pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. The socket has a retaining pin hole and a locking ring, which stop the socket coming loose during use.
HEX H7 bit
An internal hex profile measuring 7 mm. The precisely matched shape minimises play and the risk of damaging the screw edges. Used on fastenings that require high tightening force in confined spaces.
Anti-corrosion coating
The protective surface finish extends tool life where it is exposed to moisture, oils and operating fluids. It makes cleaning and maintenance easier after use.

The difference between CR-MO and CR-V steel
CR-V (chrome vanadium) steel has high surface hardness, which works well in hand tools. Under impact loads, however, it can crack because of its lower flexibility. CR-MO (chrome molybdenum) steel combines hardness with resistance to material fatigue – it absorbs impact energy without permanent deformation. This is why CR-MO is used in sockets intended for pneumatic and electric wrenches.

Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the socket fits the wrench drive – play should not exceed 0.2 mm. During use, make sure the socket is fully seated on the screw to avoid damaging the edges. After use, clean the tool of dirt and oil, then protect it with a thin layer of preservative.
Do not use impact sockets with long-arm hand wrenches – they may be overloaded. If a screw is difficult to undo, use a penetrating fluid and increase the torque gradually.
