Aluminium oxide sanding discs designed for sanding work with orbital and random orbital sanders. The hook and loop attachment system allows fast disc changes, while the 8 dust extraction holes increase sanding efficiency.
The P80 grade denotes an average grain size of 201 micrometres. It is used for removing thicker layers of material, levelling uneven surfaces and preparing surfaces before further processing stages. Effective for sanding old paint, lacquer or rust.
Abrasive made from aluminium oxide has a hardness of around 9 on the Mohs scale and is resistant to high temperatures. During use the grain fractures in a controlled manner, creating new sharp edges, which extends the life of the disc and maintains consistent sanding performance.
The arrangement of eight holes ensures effective dust removal when working with a connected extraction system. This reduces clogging of the abrasive surface, extends disc life and improves visibility of the workpiece. Compatible with sanders that have a matching hole pattern.
The hook and loop system allows the disc to be changed in seconds without tools. A semi-open coat means the abrasive grains cover 50-70% of the backing surface, which prevents the disc from clogging quickly when sanding soft and resinous materials such as wood or lacquers.

YATO YT-834593 sanding discs work with orbital and random orbital sanders fitted with a 150 mm backing pad with hook and loop attachment. The 8-hole dust extraction system requires the sander to have an identical hole pattern on the backing pad.
Before purchasing, verify the diameter of the sander's backing pad (150 mm), the attachment type (hook and loop) and the number and arrangement of the dust extraction holes. The manufacturer specifies compatibility with YATO YT-82206 and YT-82207 models. The discs can also be used with other sanders that meet these parameters.
Before starting work, check that the disc is correctly attached to the sander's backing pad. Uneven pressure can lead to premature wear or damage to the disc. During sanding, apply even pressure and avoid excessive force, which causes the material to overheat and the abrasive to wear more quickly.
Connecting the sander to a dust extraction system significantly improves working efficiency and extends the life of the disc. Regularly emptying the dust container prevents the dust extraction holes from clogging. After finishing work it is worth checking the condition of the disc – worn or damaged discs should be replaced in order to maintain even sanding.
When working with a sander and sanding discs, wear safety goggles, a dust mask and hearing protection. Dust created during sanding can be harmful to the respiratory system, so working in a well-ventilated room or with a dust extraction system is essential.
